Leda Montenegro

Born in Manaus, Amazon, to an educational director and a businessman, Leda Montenegro moved to Rio de Janeiro with her family at eleven years old.

Leda left the school to fight against oppression during the military dictatorship.

She has two children, Eduardo Kurt and Lorena, and a grandchild Daisy.
 
The stories of indigenous people she used to hear when a child in the Amazon, her passion for literature, for different cultures, and the aspiration to serve mankind, inspired and motivated her to write tales, poems, articles and books.
